Walton, Richard W. Saginaw, Michigan To his friends, he was known as Dick. He fought a hard battle against cancer, but in the end he won, because he was surrounded by those who loved him in both body and spirit. Dick passed away early Friday, March 14, 2014, at Covenant Harrison, at the age of 74 years. Richard Wayne Walton was born October 11, 1939 in Saginaw, the son of the late Bert M. and Elma (Seder) Walton. Dick was a pioneer in systems software during his career at Dow Corning Corporation. He was a valued employee and remained so after retirement. He married the love of his life, Frances Wilma Page on May 20, 1972, and Dick and Fran spent years traveling the world. They loved to golf, fish, and camp. When Fran would make up songs, Dick would set them to music and accompany her on his guitar. Fran predeceased him on December 28, 2009. Besides his beloved dog, Tyra, he leaves three daughters, Dawn (Juan) Munoz, Dorene "Reno" Loomis, and Diane (John) Meehleder; grandchildren, Isaac, Juan G., Talisha, and Chris; a brother, Larry Walton, and his family, in Kentucky.
