Rickie “Poppi” Edward Wise Sr. of Saginaw

Beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at Serenity Springs Assisted Living in Saginaw. He was 49 years old. Rickie Edward Wise was born on December 20, 1970, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Richard E. and Vickie L. (North) Wise. He married the love of his life, Robin Lin Dufresne on May 22, 1993, at the Salvation Army Church in Saginaw; she survives him. Rickie was employed as a service and delivery driver for Johnny on the Spot for 10 years. He was a former member of the Salvation Army Church. Rickie was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Throughout his life, Rickie was hard working and proudly passed this quality on to his children. He loved making people laugh, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, and playing video games. He will forever be remembered for his excellent and very funny sense of humor and for always replying to everything with his iconic “really.”

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Robin Lin Wise of Saginaw; four sons and two daughters: Gary Shaver of Kingston; Timothy Bock of Bridgeport; Nicole Shaver of Caro; Rickie Wise Jr. of Saginaw; Christopher “Chrisypoo” Wise of Bridgeport; Kathrine Wise of Saginaw; 19 grandchildren; mother, Vickie Wise of Saginaw; two brothers: Jimmy and Larry Wise of Saginaw; and his three beloved pit bulls: MJ, Rocko, and Daisy Mae. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Wise; father and mother-in-law: Kenneth and Judith Dufresne; two brothers-in-law: William Dufresne and Kenneth Dufresne Jr.; grandparents: Illa Mae and William North.

Honoring Rickie’s wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Robin Lin Wise.
