Hooton, Ricky Norton Saginaw, Michigan Beloved husband, father, step-father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away at his home, surrounded by his family, on Friday, March 6, 2015, following a lengthy illness. Age 57 years. Ricky was born August 27, 1957, in Saginaw, the son of the late Viatelene (LaMoore) and Frederick Hooton Sr. He graduated from Freeland High School with the Class of 1975. He had been employed by K-Wall Foundations and by Valley Asphalt. Ricky enjoyed the out of doors, including feeding deer in his back yard, hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed NASCAR. He especially loved being PopPop to his grandchildren. He married Mary E. (Fitzek) Combs on March 7, 2007; she survives him. He also leaves his son, Ricky Norton Hooton Jr. and his girlfriend, Kayla Shine; step-children and five grandchildren, Jeffrey and Marion Combs, and their children, Owen, Nolan and Claire; Jason and Alisha Kruttlin, and their children, Kyle and Gabriella; and Tommy Fitzek; his sister, Barbara Barnes, and brother, Frederick Hooton Jr. and his wife Debra; several nieces, nephews and their families; his cousin, Bill Newman; and his dog and constant companion, Sandy. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Ed Barnes. Ricky's family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 4:00 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, 2015.
