Rita “Reet” Marie Prudhomme of Saginaw, Michigan,
Beloved mother and grandmother passed away unexpectedly on Monday, October 12, 2020, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. She was 64 years old. Rita Marie Blazejewski was born on July 10, 1956, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Joseph and Lois Ann (Thompson) Blazejewski Jr. She was a proud 1974 graduate of St. Mary High School. Rita married Michael J. Prudhomme on July 6, 1979; he preceded her in death on September 23, 2014. She truly loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. Rita will forever be remembered by her family for her kind, loving, and quiet spirit.
Surviving are two children: Holly (Anthony) Bloedel of Saginaw; David (Rebecca) Prudhomme of Saginaw; four grandchildren: Dominic, Lily, Ava and Sophia; brother, Joseph G. Blazejewski; two brothers-in-law: Steven (Cathey) Prudhomme and Patrick (Debbie) Prudhomme; two nephews: Jeremy (Megan) Prudhomme and Corey (Rachel) Prudhomme.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Joseph Prudhomme II.
Honoring Rita’s wishes cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
