Daly, Rita May Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Monday, April 6, 2015, at the Cartwright Hospice Residence, at the age of 90 years. Rita May Totten was born August 27, 1924, in Lincoln Park, Michigan, the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Ilo Lucille (Wells) Totten. She came to Saginaw with her family as a young girl, graduating from St. Andrew High School. She served with the US Navy during World War II, where she had worked in photography at Jacksonville, Florida, and in microfilm at the Pentagon. She married Robert L. Daly on June 29, 1946; he predeceased her November 22, 2009. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, its Altar Society, and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Surviving are six sons, six daughters and their spouses, Kathleen (William) Ekrut, Theresa (Brian) Somes, Dan (Jane) Daly, Patrick (Patricia) Daly, Michael (Mary) Daly, Peggy (Dale) Walsh, Larry (Cathy) Daly, Deloris (Murray) McKenzie, Marla (Troy) Hawley, Kelly Daly, Dr. Darlene Daly and Edward (Heidi) Daly; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; one sister, Jean Jordan and one brother, James (Patricia) Totten; several nieces, nephews, and their families. She was predeceased by two brothers, Art and Don Totten. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 10, 2015, at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan. Rev. Fr. Andrew LaFramboise will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, where a parish vigil service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Thursday. Family and friends may then gather at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.
