EGBERT, ROBERT C. of Ft. Knox, Kentucky, previous long-term resident of Saginaw, Michigan passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Hardin Memorial Hospital at the age of 83. Robert was born May 27, 1932 in Saginaw the son of the late Gerald L. and Beulah M. (Sensabaugh) Egbert. He married Donna L. Goodboo (deceased) October 16, 1953. He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Robert loved his country, serving her faithfully in the Army for 21 years. He was an avid gardener, enthusiastic photographer, and motivated fisherman. He had a special gift for making every person feel special. Robert was deeply dedicated to his family, leaving a legacy as devoted husband, loving father, and doting grandfather. Surviving Robert are three children, Robert (Julie) Egbert Jr., Richard (Carol) Egbert, Scott (Sara) Egbert, 19 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; his sisters, Vicky Reynolds, Beulah Cowles, and Helen Egbert; brothers, Kenneth (Esther) Egbert and George Egbert sister-in-law Dora Garrison, and several nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by his wife Donna, daughter Veronica Barnett, brother Gerald Egbert, granddaughter Jessica Grace, and great-grandson Ryan Patrick. Funeral service will take place 11:00a.m. Friday September 25, 2015 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church 6400 McCarty Road. Rev. Randy Kelly will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Road on Thursday September 24, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. They may then call at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral liturgy.
