Warner, Robert Charles Saginaw, MI Loving husband, father, grandfather passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Mary's of Michigan at the age of 85 years. The son of the late Ralph and Ida (McPhee) Warner was born on August 28, 1927 in Saginaw, MI. He served in the US Navy during WWII on the LST 576. He married Virginia (Pal) Taylor on November 18, 1950; she survives him. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear in 1984. He enjoyed golfing and spending time with his family; especially with his grandchildren. Surviving besides his wife of 62 years, Pal are their children; Julie (Dan Laitsch) Warner, Kelly Warner, grandchildren; Christopher, Jamie, Bobby, Josh, Kia, Kalen, Dan, and Neil, 14 great-grandchildren and one on the way. He was predeceased by his son, David Warner, two brothers Ralph Warner, Wallace Warner, and his father and mother-in-law, Burt and Ilene (Muncey) Taylor. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 mackinaw Rd. Rev. Michael Houle will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to St. John Episcopal Church, Humane Society of Saginaw County or American Legion Post No. 22.
