Robert D. Ecker Sr.

Ecker, Robert D. Sr. Saginaw, MI Beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at the age of 84. Robert was born December 10, 1928, in Saginaw. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He married Joline Eckart on October 22, 1940. She predeceased him November 13, 1999. He is survived by his children, Debra Bunzow and Robert (Mary) Ecker Jr.; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and sisters Helen Robinson and Nada Wordlow. He was predeceased by his daughter, Diane Spalding; great-granddaughter, Amber Lynn Bunzow; his parents, John (Pauline) Ecker and Ruth (Orlan) Bissell; and one brother and three sisters. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday July 23, 2013, at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of American Legion Post #22. Friends may visit with the family on Monday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
