Robert "Bob" Dice Saginaw, MI Passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 11, 2013, with his wife Vera and children, Steven, Robin and Bridget by his side. He was born October 19, 1929 in Saginaw Michigan to the late Arlene (Charlie) Gulliver and Arlington Dice. Bob was proud to serve his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the V.F.W. and American Legion. A loving and devoted husband and Dad, Bob spent 62 years married to the love of his life Vera Dice (Donner) and shared his passion for traveling the U.S., restoring old cars, gardening and coaching softball and baseball with his family. Bob was an active member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Polish Falcon's and Fraternal Order of Eagles, and generously gave his time to support events and member activities. Bob started his working career as a brakesman for the railroad and retired from TNT Holland Motor Freight after 30+ years as a semi-truck driver. Or as Bob would say it, " I started out riding the rails, but soon turned to putt'n the petal to the metal on the open roads." Bob will be missed by his wife Vera; children Steven Dice, Robin (Ron) Zeitler and Bridget Styers; grandchildren Adam (Sabra) Styers and Evan Zeitler; great granddaughter Mady; several step siblings, nieces and nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. He was predeceased by two children, David and Annette Dice and a sister Patricia Alexander. Funeral services will take place on Monday, April 15, 11:00 a.m. at Second Presbyterian Church, 2665 Midland Road, Saginaw MI. Rev. James Neumann will officiate services and military burial at Roselawn Cemetery under the auspices of V.F.W, Post 1566. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI. on Sunday, April 14th from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
