Smith, Robert E. Jr. "Bob" Saginaw, Michigan Loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 1, 2014, at his home. Age 48 years. He was born April 9, 1965, in Tawas City. He graduated from Carrollton High School with the Class of 1984. He served with the US Army. He had been employed as a trucker for many years. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and of American Legion Post #439. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, hunting, camping, and playing pool. He married Lisa Marie Garabelli on February 16, 1996; she survives him. He also leaves two daughters, Kristina and Josh Noah and their daughter Riley; Cassandra Smith and her son Kaiden; his mother, Connie and her husband Harold Griffin; two sisters and one brother, Shari Smith and Brent Irons and their children, Brent Thomas and Keirstyn Irons; Michelle and Brad Samson and their daughters, Britney, Brooke and Briana Samson; Jason Smith and Cori Barber Jones; his step-mother, Julie Smith, and her children; his parents-in-law, Raymond and Mary Lou Garabelli; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike and Terri Garabelli and their daughters, Michelle Garabelli and her son Parker, and Marybeth Garabelli; Linda and Eric Schneider and their children, Keri and Matt Smith and their son Jace; and Matthew Schneider; Mark and Peggy Garabelli and their daughters, Christine and her fianc Kevin Shattuck, Rachel and Nicole Garabelli; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He also leaves his beloved dog Mollie and cat Tinkerbell. He was predeceased by his father, Robert E. Smith, and his Grandma Bea. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2014, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where his family will receive friends from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and then on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny will officiate. Military Honors will be under the auspices of American Legion Post #439.
