Robinson, Robert J. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Covenant Cooper, at the age of 70 years. He was born November 7, 1944, in Midland, the son of the late Richard S. and Eva M. (Schofield) Robinson. He served with the US Army during the Vietnam War. He married Dawn M. Rock on April 30, 1979; she survives him. Bob had worked at a number of car dealerships. He was the former owner of Home Plate Sports Card Shop as well as Land Mark Auto Sales in Midland. He enjoyed metal detecting, arrowhead hunting, flea markets and golfing. He loved animals and making people laugh. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, to whom he gave such joy. Surviving besides his wife, Dawn, are two children, Wendy (David) McDonald, of Hope, and Robert S. (April) Robinson, of Midland; four grandchildren, David Seth (Amanda) McDonald, Fawn (Louis) Betts, Kahlia (Derek) Dewey, all of Midland, and Cory Robinson (fiance Linda Rorabaugh), Casper, Wyoming; five great-grandchildren, Kayleigh, Devon, Connor, Bailey, and Liliana; one brother, Richard F. (Eva) Robinson; two sisters, Linda (Jerry) Kerns, and Jo (Carl) Hammond, all of Midland; his mother-in-law, Marion Gray; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; many other relatives. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 noon Thursday, April 9, 2015, at Pentecostal Temple, 5303 Jefferson Avenue, Midland. Pastor Michael Parsons will officiate with military burial in Pinegrove Cemetery, Freeland under the auspices of Hemlock-Merrill V.F.W. Post 7302. Bob's family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, and then at the church in Midland on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
