Robert James Scharich

Passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 79 years.
The son of the late Margaret (Kirk) and Otto Scharich was born April 10, 1942 in Saginaw. He married the love of his life, Iris Rouech, July 7, 1962. His wife of 59 years survives him. Robert was employed as a Sheet Metal Worker with Local #7, retiring in 1988 with many years of service. He was of the Catholic Faith, a member of the Eagles Club in Carrollton and Florida and the V.F.W. Auxiliary. Mr. and Mrs. Scharich spent their winters in Okeechobee, Florida. He enjoyed playing golf, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Surviving besides his wife, Iris, are a daughter, two sons and their spouses, Carol and Kevin Pender; Robert K. and Janel Scharich; Steven Scharich; 6 grandchildren, Crystal and Adam Nixon; Christopher and Alexis Scharich; Callie and Mark Lorence; Kyle and Katelyn Pender; Alison Pender and her fiancé, John Laski; Kerrigan Scharich; 3 great grandchildren, Ethan and Ella Nixon; Georgia Scharich; and baby Lorence on the way. He also leaves two sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Kabobel and Betty and Phil Cochran; his brothers-in-law and their wives, Mike and Donna Rouech; Pete and Nancy Rouech; Dave and Penny Rouech; Richard Davis; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Family and Friends may visit at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd Saginaw from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Private family committal services will take place.
