Robert L. Kreager Hemlock, Michigan Passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 9, 2014. Age 81 years. The son of the late Adolph and Mary (Burns) Kreager was born November 7, 1932 in Hemlock, Michigan. He married Leila M. Snyder, August 1, 1953. She survives him. Robert served with the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and enjoyed attending the Navy reunions each year. He was employed by General Motors, Central Foundry, retiring in 1987 with 37 years of service and a member of the American Foundry Society. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Hemlock. He was involved with and coached Little League baseball, was a member of the Hemlock Lions Club, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, baseball and golf. Surviving, besides his wife, Leila, are five children: Denise Johnson and her husband Ron, Midland, MI; Debbie Vigue, Hemlock, MI; Dwight Kreager and his wife, Sandy, Freeland, MI; Diane Kreager, Rochester Hills, MI; Deana Kreager and her friend, Miguel Alejos, Saginaw, MI; seven grandchildren, Erica Johnson; Cale Johnson and his wife, Laura; Danielle, Lauren and Shelby Vigue; Elizabeth and Cecily Kreager; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Mildred West, and four brothers, Leonard, Herman, Bernard and Charles Kreager. The funeral liturgy will take place at Noon Saturday, January 11, 2014, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 151 St. Mary Drive, Hemlock. Rev. Duane Wachowiak will officiate with Military burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of Hemlock-Merrill V.F.W. Post #7302. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-7:00 p.m. Friday where a Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may call at the Church from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
