Main, Robert L. Saginaw, Michigan Died Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at Caretel Inns, Bay City, after a short battle with cancer. Aged 79 years. He was born May 6, 1936, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Glenn and Kathleen Main. On December 27, 1958, he married Meredith Brink. He was a graduate of Kansas State University. He retired from Saginaw Steering Gear after 36 years of service. Robert was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, Saginaw Gun Club, Field and Stream, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Pioneer Lodge #79, F. & A.M., and Castle Museum of Saginaw County History. Hunting, camping, woodworking, traveling with his wife and friends, family gatherings, and activities at Canada Creek Ranch with special friends and family were among his many enjoyments. He loved the outdoors. Surviving besides his wife, Meredith, are two sons, David G. Main and Thomas A. (Patricia) Main; grandchildren, Jessica, Kathleen, Garrett J. Main, J. Garrett Main, Cheyenne and Jordyn Main; daughter-in-law, Lynn Main; sister, Jody (Richard) Greene; brothers-in-law, Jarvis (Nancy) Brink and James Brink; several nieces, nephews, and their families. He was predeceased by his son, John R. Main; his parents, Glenn and Kathleen Main; and his parents-in-law, Doris and John Brink. A special thanks is given to the staff at Caretel Inns for their care and to McLaren Hospice, especially Courtney. At his wish, cremation has taken place and a private service will take place later at Logue Cemetery near LeRoy, Kansas. Memorial donations may be made to Second Presbyterian Church, St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital and Castle Museum of Saginaw County History. Arrangements by W. L.
