Beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at McLaren Northern Michigan. He was 65 years old. Robert Lee Hollerback was born on November 20, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Victor Sylvester and Eleanor Florence (Mose) Hollerback. Bobby was employed as a maintenance worker for 25 years with the Saginaw County Courthouse; retiring in 2008. He enjoyed building, remodeling and fixing anything. He was a selfless soul that also enjoyed helping others. Bobby was an exceptional baker, but most famous for his delicious peanut butter cake. Above all, he loved and cherished his family. He will forever be remembered for his kindness, giving heart and his zest and love for life.
Surviving are one sister and two brothers, Rose Rardin of Bridgeport Township; Raymond (Elaine) Hollerback of Bridgeport Township; and Fred Hollerback of Alanson. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Hollerback; and a nephew, Darrel Volway.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 8, 2019 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. Robert Richards will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family c/o Rose Rardin.
