Robert “Bob” Yurgens
Of St. Charles, Michigan
Passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at St. Francis Home of Saginaw with his family by his side. Age 91 years. Bob was born on February 5, 1929 in Saginaw to the late Fred and Anna (Fort) Yurgens. He married Ruth Helen Papst on June 8, 1957; she predeceased him on October 31, 1997. Bob was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. He was a member of the American Legion and Wolverine Sportsman Club in St. Charles. Bob enjoyed playing cards at the senior center, going to the casino, and fishing with his sons and family.
Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Margaret Yurgens, David and Pamela Yurgens; two grandsons, Kevin Yurgens, William Wenzel; three granddaughters, Hillary Beeckman, Sydney Yurgens, Angela (Jason) Rogers; three great-grandchildren, Addison, Braelyn and Canton Rogers; a goddaughter, Susan (Phil) Mauch; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Bob was predeceased by two brothers, Fred Yurgens and Hubert Yurgens; and three sisters, Linda Yurgens, Victoria Shoemaker, and Charlotte Fedder.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 16, 2020, at Hope Lutheran Church, 1123 W. Walnut St., St. Charles. Rev. Jason Baldwin will officiate with burial to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd., Saginaw, from 2:00-5:00 pm and 6:00-8:00 pm Monday, as well as at the church Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
