Carlton, Robert Stewart Jr. Saginaw, Michigan Robert Stewart Carlton, Jr., was born on February 6, 1966 in Saginaw County and passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 of a sudden death at Covenant Cooper, Saginaw, at the age of 49 years. He left behind two children: his daughter, April Marie Carlton (Robert Bartz), and his son, Matthew James Carlton, both of Saginaw, along with their mother, Julie (Carlton) Brown. He is also survived by his brothers, Doug (Lisa) Carlton, Bill (Linda) Smith, Charles (Mary) Smith, Byron LaDuc; many nieces and nephews and their families, including a special niece Shelly (Dan) Keller; and many other loving family and friends. He had been employed by Thompson IG (now known as TIG Entity) in Fenton for fourteen years. He was also in the process of writing his first book before he passed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Effie Arvilla Carlton, his father, Robert Carlton Sr., sister, Bonnie Smith and brother, Rodney Smith.
