Robert Valentine Coeur Sr.

Robert Valentine Coeur Sr. Freeland, Michigan Passed away Sunday evening, September 6, 2015, at his home. Age 88 years. The son of the late Raymond and Hazel (Morton) Coeur was born January 29, 1927 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Lois Angeline West, April 30, 1949. She survives him. Robert served with the U. S. Army during WWII. He was employed by General Motors Corp retiring with 49 years of service. He was a member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church and enjoyed bowling, walking and fishing. Surviving besides his wife, Lois, are three children, Deborah Leinberger and her husband, Steven; Robert Coeur Jr. and his wife, Marolyn; Jennifer Reaume and her husband, Bernard Jr.; five grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly Leinberger and her fianc, Michael Zanzarella; Jeff and Loretta Leinberger; Ariel and Brad Banda; Jessica Reaume; Amanda Reaume; a great granddaughter, McKenzie Leinberger; two brothers, Donald and Sally Coeur; Valentine Coeur; several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A grandson, Robert A. Coeur, and a brother, Jack Coeur, have predeceased him. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3412 Crestmont Drive, Saginaw, MI 48603. Pastor Michael Wilke will officiate with burial in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Church from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and then from Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
