Alpin, Robin Lee Dye Saginaw, Michigan Loving mother, daughter, sister and grandmother passed away on Friday October, 18, 2013 at the age of 56 years. The daughter of Duane and Janet (Dankert) Dye was born on July 3, 1957 in Saginaw. She graduated from Douglas MacArthur and attended Michigan Technological University where she worked as a DJ and graduated from Delta College. She worked for World Finest Chocolate and for Wegner Auctioneers. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Robin was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and NASCAR. She also enjoyed deer hunting, playing cards and loved to cook. Ever the adventurous spirit, Robin went sky diving, parasailing, zip lining, and rode along at 165 mph in a NASCAR car. Surviving besides her parents are her children: Leigh Alpin, Matthew (Brandi Dome) Alpin, granddaughter, Ivy Alpin, her siblings: Robert (Mary) Dye, Renee (Jim Westover) Pack, Roxanne (Timothy) Nestler and many nieces and nephews and other dear family members. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 22, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Mark Buckert will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and then on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
