Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at the age of 87 years.
The son of the late Roy E. and Mildred D. Faupel was born on November 30, 1933 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School. After high school, he went into the Navy and served in the Korean War. He was married to Jacqueline A. (Huiskens) Faupel for 57 years and she survives him. He retired from Brinks Armored Car Service after 30 years of service and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Bowling was something he really enjoyed, but even more so, was coaching youth bowlers. He also enjoyed going to the casino and watching all Michigan sports, especially the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Tigers.
Surviving are his wife Jacqueline, and four children: Mark, Tammi (Pat) Taylor and their children Abigail and Katelyn; Kelly (Reuben) Davila and their children, Angelia, Brandi (Jeff) Barko and Easton; and Michelle (Michael) Dethloff with her children Baylee Seiferlein, Blake, Dylan and Madison Vershum and one very dear great-grandson, Trenton Hower. Also surviving are his brother-in-law Thomas (Carol) Huiskens and many nephews, cousins and special friends.
Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. at St. Dominics Church, St. Stephens Location, located at 2711 Mackinaw Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48602. Rev. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at church on Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy.
