Roger Neumann Finkbeiner

Roger Neumann Finkbeiner Saginaw, Michigan Went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at St. Francis Home. Age 80 years. The son of the late Adella (Neumann) and Menno Finkbeiner. He was born February 24, 1938 in Saginaw, Michigan. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School. He married Sandra Lee Bluer, August 15, 1959. His wife of 58 years survives him. Roger was employed as a Mechanical Engineer with Eaton Manufacturing and then with General Motors, Grey Iron Foundry, retiring with 27 years of service. After retirement from General Motors, he was employed by Kibbe and Associates for several years. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and was active in several Studebaker Car clubs. Roger was an accomplished musician, playing the accordion with the Finkbeiner Trio. He enjoyed woodworking and restoring antique cars, traveling and playing the organ. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family. Surviving besides his wife, Sandra, are a son and a daughter, Jeffrey Finkbeiner and his wife, Karen, Freeland, MI; Linda Finkbeiner and her husband, Duane Lamberts, Fairbanks, AK; four grandchildren and their spouses, Kayla and Zachary VanMaanen, Traverse City, MI; Andrea and Joshua Hudson, Petoskey, MI; Cole Lamberts and Brianna Lamberts, Fairbanks, AK; two sisters one brother, Verna Ledtke; Ronald Finkbeiner and his wife, Mable; Janet Wells; a sister-in-law, Karen Bluer; a brother-in-law and his wife, James and Peggy Bluer; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister and three brothers-in-law, Mary and Donald Wedding; Robert Ledtke and Harold Bluer. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 26, 2018 at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Ed Meyer will officiate. Friends may call at the Chapel from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of the funeral service.
