Wallace, Ronald Charles Saginaw, Michigan
Passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Age 85 years. Son of the late Charles and Dorothy (McCullen) Wallace, was born on September 22, 1929, in Saginaw. He married Betty (Bittner) Wallace on May 31, 1949. She predeceased him on November 5, 2011. Ronald served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and retired after many years of service as Master Sargent with the Army Reserve. He competed in Mr. Michigan in 1948 and continued to enjoy working out daily. He was a military historian in which he focused on the Civil War, WWII and General Custer. Ronald enjoyed fishing in Canada, hunting, blacksmithing and was a long time gun collector. Surviving are his children, Susan Graham, David (Heidi) Wallace and Richard (Alicia) Wallace; his grandchildren, Cameron Graham, Sarah, Alex, Morgan and Eric Wallace; his brother, Tim Wallace and his cat Boomer. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Stella Bittner.
Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2014, from 12:00 Noon to 3:00 p.m. W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel 4480 Mackinaw Road. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Saginaw Community Foundation. www.casefuneralhome.com
