Ronald E. Lickly

Passed away peacefully with his loving wife at his side on Friday, October 8, 2021. Age 82 years.

Ron was born on March 17, 1939, son of the late Adelbert Lickly and Henrietta (Place) and Jerry Noffsinger, in Saginaw. He married Jean Benkert on October 6, 1962, having celebrated their 59th anniversary. He served in the U. S. Airforce. Ron was a member of St. Dominic Parish, Ss. Peter and Paul Church and was a Golden Eagle status member of the NRA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with Jean, family, and friends at their cabin in Hale. He also enjoyed gardening and caring for his dog, Pepper.

Ron is survived by his wife, Jean Lickly, brothers and sisters-in-law, Don Benkert, Mary Benkert, Joe Benkert, Sue (Ernie) Allen and Betty Lickly; many special nieces, nephews, eight God children, relatives and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Art (Kay) Lickly and Dave Lickly, sister and brother-in-law, Ruth Ann (Don) Page, sisters-in-law, Theresa Kuch, Claudia Benkert, Christine Benkert and brother-in-law, Henry Benkert.

Memorial Mass will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at St. Dominic Parish, Ss.Peter and Paul Church, 4735 W. Michigan Avenue. Fr. Steven Gavit and Fr. Jack Johnson will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Alzheimer's Association.
