Ronald Fick

Beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the age of 81 years. The son of the late Elmer Fick and Evalyn (Woods) Falberg was born on September 8, 1935 in Midland. He served in the U.S. Navy- stationed on the U.S.S. Des Moines. He married Sandra L. Eurich on May 26, 1978; she survives him. Ronald worked for Dow Chemical and General Motors for many years and eventually retired from Central Michigan University in 1997. He sang in the Midstatesmen Barbershop Chorus of Alma and enjoyed fishing, cars and good music. Ronald was a diehard fan of the Chicago Bears and Merrill Vandal's football teams. Surviving besides his wife, Sandra are his children: Michelle (Dirk) Bauer, Gregg Fick, Rhonda (Daniel) Binder, Rochelle (Richard) Tyra, grandchildren: Rachael Ornelas, Derek (Sarah) Bauer, Corrina Fick, Korey Goodall, Jessiy Hayes, Paige (Andrew) Pollard, Jeffrey (Kirsten) Binder, Stacey (Daniel) James, Stephany Tyra, great-grandchildren: Kayla, Danny, Teagen, Kynzie, Gracie, Rocky, Zachary, Sydney, and a great-great grandson expected in June, 5 granddogs: Harley, Tilly, Bentley, Sheldon and Ashes, his brothers and sisters at heart: Tim (Marilyn) Guttridge, Beth Potter and many other relatives and dear friends, including his special friend Jim Brasseur. Ronald was predeceased by his daughter: Gretchen Ann Fick, grandson Richard Ornelas, the mother of his children: Sharon Ann Nowry, and his granddog, Joey. Services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. with private burial later at Homer Township Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday at the funeral chapel from 2:00-8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
