Ronald J. Courneya

Ronald J. Courneya Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the age of 68 years. Ron was born January 2, 1948, in Bay City to the late Harry and Virginia (Besaw) Courneya. He owned Northland Lawn Care for 12 years. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and gardening. He took great pride in the care of his yard. Ron will be deeply missed by his wife of 32 years, Janet (Turnpaugh) Courneya; his children, Melisa (Anthony) Bremer, Shawn (Leigh Anna) Courneya, Scott (Theresa) Goist, Robert (Michelle) Goist; grandchildren, Zoe, Quinn, Abby, Audrey, Arianna, Ashleigh; brother, Don Bowen; and many extended family members. He was predeceased by his sister Mary Barnella. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of Covenant Healthcare and Covenant VNA Hospice for the wonderful care they provided to Ron. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 29, 2016, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Thursday at the funeral home from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
