Ronald Michael Tyra

Ronald Michael Tyra Freeland, Michigan Our beloved father and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2018, age 80 years. He was born on August 2, 1937, son of the late John and Antoinette (Jamrog) Tyra Jr. in Saginaw. He married Janet L. Smith on January 17, 1970. She predeceased him on March 31, 2010. Ronald served in the U. S. Army and retired from the City of Saginaw after many years of service. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He spent most of his time in his garage tinkering with stuff. Always a fixer-upper. Ronald will be missed by his children, Michelle (Raymond) Barber, Cheryl (Robert) Dzurka and Ronald Tyra Jr; grandchildren, Jason and Jonathan Keller, Janet Harris, Jordan and Emily Dzurka; great grandchildren, Logan, Jaidyn, Kerston, Sheldon, Kimberly, Chelo, Ruby, Mariah, Alexis, Matthew, Nathaniel, Benjamin and Carson; brothers, Edward (Betty) Tyra and Eugene Tyra; brothers and sisters-in-law, John (Marion) Smith, Roxann Spiece and Vincent (Sharon) Romanelli, Nancy Smith, Mary Tyra and Dolores Tyra; also many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Kimberley; his siblings and their spouses, Clara (Rubin) Silver, Sophia (Lowell) Wyman, Mary Jane Tyra, Richard Tyra, Roman Tyra and Lawrence (Donna) Tyra; and his brothers and sisters-in-law, Marcellee Tyra, Jim Spiece, Beverly (Steve) Brautigan, Frederick Smith and William Smith. Honoring Ronalds wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
