Ronald "Ron" L. Miller
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper, with his family at his side; at the age of 75 years.
The son of the late Ben and Arlene (St. Charles) Miller, Ron was born on June 24, 1946 in Saginaw, Michigan. He proudly served in the United States Army until Honorably Discharged. He married Catherine Rachow on May 11, 1968 at Zion Lutheran Church, Saginaw, Michigan; she survives him. Ron worked for Malleable Iron for many years of loyal and dedicated service. He was a member of VFW Post 1566 and American Legion 439. Ron was an avid gun collector. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing. Above all, Ron cherished the time spent with his family, especially cooking for family gatherings.
Surviving besides his wife of 53 years, Catherine Miller; are three sons and their spouses: Ronald and LeAnn Miller, Bryan and Michelle Miller, Mark and Amy Miller; grandchildren: Melanie (Derek) Thomas, Benjamin Miller, Alex Miller, Jordan (Nathan) Bryant, Trenton Miller, Dominic Miller, Hannah Miller, Benjamin Weide, Jacob Weide, Landon Miller, Ameliah Miller, Noah Miller, Gabriel Miller; great-grandchildren: Grace Miller, Finley and Presley Thomas, Ryker Miller; three brothers: Donald (Lorraine) Miller, Lon Miller, Michael (Jackie) Miller; brother-in-law: David Rachow. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Ron was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter: Lillie Miller, brother: Bennie Miller; two sisters-in-law: Christine Miller and Claudia Halm.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 11, 2021 at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48603. Rev. Robert Schmidt will officiate. Military Honors will take place under the auspices of the United States Army and American Legion Post 22. Friends may visit from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the funeral chapel. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
