Rosa M. (Jimenez) Castillo

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away March 3, 2021 at her home. Age 87 years old. Rosa Maria Jimenez was born March 22, 1933 in San Antonio, Texas. The daughter of the late Lorenzo and Guadalupe (Ivarra) Jimenez. She married Frank Delgado Castillo. He predeceased her. She was a member of St, Joseph Catholic Church.

Rosa is survived by her children: Raul Castillo, Richard Castillo, Theresa (John) Gomez, and Ronald Castillo; grandchildren: Frank D. Castillo, Seneca D. Bryant, Evangelina G. E. Castillo, Richard L.Castillo, Steven L, Castillo, Olivia A. and Patrick (Castillo) Olivarez, Juan M. Martinez, Aliscia N. Martinez, and Anjelica R. Flores; 21 great grandchildren; and five great- great grandchildren. Also surviving are her siblings and their spouses: Mrs. Judy (William) Green, Adele Sanchez, Margaret Quiroz, Rosalinda (Gilbert) Merino, George (Nora) Jimenez, and Jesse (Connie) Jimenez; and many nieces and nephews.

Rosa was predeceased by her son, Frank D. Castillo; sister, Lucy Jimenez; brothers in-law: Maurice Castillo and Isidrio Castillo; In-laws, Frank (Angelita) Castillo; granddaughter, Crystal Rose Castillo; step-mother, Maria (Gomez) Jimenez; siblings: Helen (Ralph) Barrera, Pauline (Alberto) Vargas, Louis (Matilda) JImenez, Alberto (Delores) Jimenez, and Maria Louis Jimenez Ramirez.

Mass of Christian burial will take place on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:00 a.m at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 910N. Sixth Street. Rev. Francis Voris will officiate. Rite of Committal and burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to visit at W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd., on Sunday, March 21, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A vigil service will take place at 7:00 p.m. Rosa will lie in state at the church on Monday at the church where the family will be present to receive visitors at the parish hall from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 people at a time, masks are required, and social distancing encouraged. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
