Rosalee D. Wing

Passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the age of 83 years.
The daughter of the late Donald and Rose Pelton was born on September 11, 1937 in Thompsonville, Michigan. Rosalee married Nelson D. Wing on December 13, 1958; he predeceased her on January 30, 2015. Graduated Sexton High School in Lansing and then graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in Education. She worked for Saginaw Public Schools, and retired from the Saginaw Millet Center. Rosalee was a member of First United Methodist Church and was active in their choir and played the organ. She enjoyed knitting, playing the piano, and Michigan State sports, especially basketball and football. Rosalee most especially enjoyed time at the family cottage in Caseville.
Surviving are two children and their spouses: Julie and Matthew Fitzgerald, Milford, MA; Andrew and Julie Wing, Howell, MI; four grandchildren, Mark and John Fitzgerald; Adam and Jordan Wing. Her sister Carol Ann Maleitzke and many nieces, nephews and friends.
In accordance with Rosalee’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 4790 Gratiot Rd. Rev. Amy Terhune will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
