Rosemary Lopez of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, February 28, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center - Saginaw. She was 73 years old. Rosemary Hernandez was born on November 25, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Raymond R. and Olivia G. (Gomez) Hernandez. She attended Saginaw High School. Rosemary was an excellent cook and worked a various Mexican restaurant throughout the Saginaw Area. She also worked for and made bows at Fred Bear Archery in Grayling. She had a kind and generous heart and used her ability to selflessly love others to work as a CNA at Shattuck Manor for many years. Rosemary was a longtime and faithful member of Calvery Community Church. What made her heart truly feel full was spending time with her family and friends, especially her nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed playing Bingo, as well as playing all different types of card games. Rosemary will forever be remembered for being honest and tender hearted, for her wonderful sense of humor, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are four brothers: David (Sylvia) Hernandez of Saginaw; Robert (Brenda) Hernandez of Saginaw; Richard (Sue) Hernandez of FL; Andrew (Jennifer) Hernandez of Saginaw; two very special friends: Doreen and Tyrone; and a special cousin, Scott Ceja. Also surviving are countless nieces, nephews, and cousins too numerous to mention but held dearly to Rosemary’s heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Olivia Hernandez; a brother, Edward Hernandez; and longtime companion, Brad Gosen.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at HealthSource of Saginaw, as well as many residents who she considered dear friends, for all the love, care, and compassion they provided to Rosemary and the family.
