Rosemary "Peg" Youmans

Youmans, Rosemary June "Peg" Carrollton, Michigan Passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre, age 88 years. Peg was born in Detroit, Michigan June 1, 1925 the daughter of the late Edward and Leah (Monroe) Baldwin. She married Daniel Youmans April 9, 1945 and he survives her. She was a long time member of Ames United Methodist Church. She was active in the quilting group at church working on baby's quilts. She was an avid reader, card player, and staunch fan of the Detroit Tigers. In addition to her husband, Daniel, Peg is survived by five children, Nancy (Richard) Conrad, Janice Soule, Patricia Ezell, Daniel Youmans and Pam (Dave) Sikorski; six grandchildren, David, Cathy, Joe, Larry, Laura and Eric; eight great-grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Madison, Ben, Payton, Abby, Lily and James ; a sister, Doris Kolberg; a brother, Al Baldwin; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Leigh Soule and five siblings. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 at Ames United Methodist Church, 801 State St. Rev. Mark Karls will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 5:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and then at the church Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
