Main, Roy John Saginaw, Michigan Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather went home to the Lord on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the age of 86. Roy was born in Saginaw, Michigan April 18, 1928 the son of the late Arthur and Edna (Steinbauer) Main. He married Evelyn Mae Diechman May 1, 1954. She predeceased him July 24, 2013. Roy served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was a past member of VFW Post No. 1566 and transferred his membership to Frankenmuth VFW Post No. 2725 after moving there. He worked for Baker-Perkins retiring after 31 years of service. Roy was a member of Countryside Trinity Church. He is survived by two children, Brenda (Kevin) Haines and Larry (Anne) Main; four grandchildren Christopher (Dina) Haines, Renee (Jason) Gillespie, David (Aubrie) Main and Eric Main; three great-grandchildren, Callon Haines, Onnalei Gillespie and Brooklynn Main and a sister, Ethel McTaggart. A military committal service, conducted by VFW Post No. 1859, will take place at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, Saginaw, MI.
