Russell W. Dowis

Passed away on Monday, August 6, 2018 at the age of 85 years. The son of the late Russell and Janet (Campbell) Dowis Sr. was born on August 23, 1932 in Saginaw. He worked as a mason. Russell married Jean Kennedy on January 12, 1952; she predeceased him on January 20, 2007. Surviving are his children and their spouses: Jackie Dowis, Saginaw; Ginny (C.J.) Latty, Bay City; Yvonne Sopcak, Freeland; Roger (Cindy) Dowis, Midland; Ron Dowis, Saginaw Russell P. (Donna) Dowis, Saginaw; Margo (Hank) Croslin, Saginaw; son-in-law Luke Paquette, Bay City, his brother Rolland (Nancy) Dowis, and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Russell was predeceased by a daughter Bonnie Paquette, Bay City, a grandson Dustin, son-in-law Mark Sopcak, and sister Shirley Kennedy. In accordance to Russells wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be announced at a later date.
