Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Sister passed away on January 30, 2021 at the age of 83 years.

The daughter of the late Ralph and Helene (Decher) Klockziem was born on May 9, 1937, in Owosso, Michigan. She graduated from Michigan Lutheran Seminary, the class of 1955. Ruth married Roger L. Wardin, the love of her life, on April 7, 1956; he predeceased her on January 4, 1995. She retired from Citizens Bank in 2000. Ruth was very strong in her faith and active in her church. She was a member of the many church organizations including its choir while also playing the organ for numerous churches. Ruth loved baking, including many birthday and wedding cakes for her friends and family. She enjoyed life on “The Farm” where she raised her six children. Her hobbies included scrap booking, sewing, gardening, spending time with her family, especially her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, and hosted many family parties.

Surviving are her children: Richard (Jill) Wardin, Ronald Wardin, Renee (Dennis) Herhold, Robert (Melinda) Wardin, Ray (friend Jill Hagenauer) Wardin, and Rhea (Eugene) Dilloway, all from Hemlock. Her Grandchildren and Great-Grandchildren held a special place in her heart. Grandchildren: Jasson Wardin, Trisha (James) Knezek, Lisa (Daniel) Edgecomb, Laura (Chad) Smith, Nicole (Phillip) Strasel, Jacob (Linsey) Wardin, Hannah (Tyler) Shepherd, Ryan Wardin and Justin Dilloway, great-grandchildren: Alexis and Kelsey Knezek, Henry and Charlee Edgecomb, Theodore Smith, Allison Wardin, and Annalise Strasel, siblings: Ralph (Virgene) Klockziem, Roger (Dorothy) Klockziem, Roseann (Ronald) Schultz, and Kay (Lawrence) Retberg, sister-in-law Mary Armitage, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Besides her spouse and parents, she was predeceased by Brother, Richard Klockziem, Granddaughter, Megan Dilloway, and siblings-in-law, Mabel (Donald) Stevens, Mildred (Ray) Ulrich, Martin (Lorraine) Wardin, and Norbert (Eileen) Wardin.

Funeral service will take place at 11 am on Thursday, February 4, 2021, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 2461 N Raucholz Rd, Hemlock. Rev. Martin Hagenow and Rev. Dr. William L. Morris will officiate with burial to take place at Richland Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, February 3, 2021, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, as well as on Thursday at church from 10 am until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Peter Lutheran Church.
