Ruth Anne Miller

Ruth Anne Miller Saginaw, Michigan Passed away peacefully at New Hope Valley on Sunday, March 26, 2017, at the age of 96. Ruth was born October 9, 1920, in Saginaw to the late Louis and Blanche (Harrington) Brandt. She was the fourth of five children. Ruth married her high school sweetheart, the late Ernest R. Miller, in 1942. They were blessed to share 61 years of marriage, and many happy summers, with friends and family on Big Star Lake in Baldwin, Michigan. Ruth worked at Lufkin Rule and later retired after many years at General Motors. She was a member of Peace Lutheran Church and the Saginaw Farm and Garden club. Ruth bought her first laptop at age 80 and plunged enthusiastically into the world of cyberspace. She will always be remembered for her optimism, faith, and cheerful disposition. She was passionate about shoes, newspaper word puzzles, games shows, and the Detroit Tigers. With great love Ruth leaves behind her son, Ronald (Carol) Miller of Weidman; her grandchildren, Christine Miller and Gregory (Suzanne) Miller; twin great-grandsons, Waylon and Bentley Meyers; and her beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews; and a diminishing but treasured handful of friends. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 3, 2017, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Sunday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
