Koerber, Ruth Elaine Saginaw, MI "Forever in our hearts" Went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 6, 2013, at the age of 84. Ruth was born July 26, 1929, in Saginaw to the late Lenard and Ruth (Fisk) Zorn. She loved to be with family and friends. She enjoyed homemaking, gardening, reading, knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, antiques, nature, and her daily time with the Lord. During her lifetime Ruth was involved with church activities, was a Stephen ministries volunteer, owned and ran StoneHedge Inn Bed and Breakfast, worked for Great Lake Fisheries, and was an inspector for Michigan Bed and Breakfasts. Most of all she was a loving mother of 6, grandmother of 20, and great-grandmother of 13. Ruth will be deeply missed by her sweetheart Jack Williams and his family; her children, Nancy Ruth Baas, Connie Marie (Dennis) Miller, Janet Lynne (Rich) Karlsen, Sally Jo (Mike) McIlhargey, Karen Elizabeth (Dave) Karoub , Benjamin Patrick Koerber Jr.; grandchildren, Mary Anna (Baas) Knowlon, John Michael Baas, David Andrew Baas, Rachel Elaine Baas, Michelle Ruth Ann (Miller) Higgins, Derek Daniel Miller, Carlene Nicole Miller, Adam John Miller, Richard Paul Karlsen, Joshua Luke Karlsen, Peter Seth Karlsen, Ellynne Bethany Karlsen, Joseph Andrew McIlhargey, Megan Marie (McIlhargey) Starz, Heather Lynn (Karoub) Schoeft, Katherine Rene (Karoub) Moore, Hannah Elizabeth Karoub, Bobby Ann Koerber, Viva Koerber, and Ingrid Koerber; great-grandchildren, Tate Baas, Byson Baas, Elizabeth Baas, Olivia Higgins, Sam Higgins, Ember Miller, Henry Karlsen, Gracelynn Karlsen, Ella Karlsen, Seth Karlsen, Monroe Sartz, Emma Moore, Jacob Moore, and Aden Schoeft; her sister Edith David and family; her brother-in-law Gene Koerber and family. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2014, at First Presbyterian Church, 121 Harrison. Rev. Dr. Robert Emrich will officiate with burial to follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 4:30p.m. and 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Road and again on Monday at church from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
