Ruth Helen Enszer

Ruth Helen Enszer Saginaw, Michigan Passed away suddenly Thursday, March 28, 2013, at St. Mary's Hospital. Age 69 years. The daughter of the late Byrnolf and Helen (Raitinen) Kero was born May 5, 1943, in Detroit, Michigan. She was a graduate of Cody High School, Detroit and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan. She married Robert M. Enszer, August 12, 1967. He survives her. Her nursing career included employment at Wayne County Hospital, Detroit; Sparrow Hospital, Lansing; Sinai Hospital, Detroit; Saginaw General Hospital, Saginaw and Saginaw St. Mary's where she retired with over 25 years or service. She was active with the Tuesday Musicale where she served as president, past president and was currently program director. She was a member of First Congregational Church and sang with their choir. Surviving besides her husband, Robert, are two daughters, Julie R. Enszer and her spouse, Kim Sherrill, University Park, Maryland; Greta Enszer, Santa Monica, CA; two brothers, Melvin and Rita Kero, Willis, MI; Dennis Kero, Pelkie, MI; her mother-in-law, Evelyn A. Enszer; a sister-in-law, Chris Enszer; a brother-in-law and his wife, Gerald (Gerry) and Sallie Enszer, all of Saginaw, MI; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lara. The funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Dr. Todd S. Farley will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel from 7:00-9:00 p.m. Monday.
