Ruth M. Armstrong

Ruth M. Armstrong Saginaw, Michigan Beloved wife, mother, sister and friend, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2015, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 73 years. The daughter of the late Melinda (Neuenfeldt) and Walter McCullagh was born August 20, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Jack F. Armstrong, December 7, 1963. Her husband of 51 years survives her. She attended Saginaw Business College and was employed by St. Mary's Hospital, Michigan Mutual Insurance and by Yeo & Yeo Accountants retiring with over 25 years of service. She was an active life-long member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock. Ruth loved children and her family. She was an avid Detroit Tiger Baseball fan. Surviving besides her husband, Jack, are a son, a daughter and their spouses, Daniel and Jane Armstrong; Christine and Rich Peacock; four grandchildren, Christian, Andrew, Megan and Ashley; a brother and his wife, Donald and Joan McCullagh; a sister-in-law, Doris McCullagh; several nieces and nephews. A brother, Patrick McCullagh has predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 24, 2015, at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Rd. Hemlock, MI 48626. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. From 2:00-8:00 p.m. Friday and then on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
