Ruth Marie Kimsel (Beyersdorf)

Ruth Marie Kimsel (Beyersdorf) of Saginaw, Michigan, formerly of Hemlock Passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late Margaret (Moeller) and James Guziak was born August 8, 1935 in Brant, Michigan. She married Robert G. Beyersdorf, December 10, 1955. He passed away December 12, 1998. Later she married Gilbert Kimsel, May 3, 2003. He passed away January 22, 2016. Ruth was employed by Saginaw Steering Gear and later by Hemlock Public Schools. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Hemlock. She was a member of TOPS, enjoyed bowling, square dancing, polka music, sewing, playing cards, gardening, baking and fishing. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Florida and camping. Surviving are two daughters, one son and daughter-in-law, Terri Beyersdorf; Cindy Beyersdorf; Todd and Julie Beyersdorf, all of Hemlock; three grandchildren, Marisa, Kearsten and Noah; two sisters-in-law, Geraldine (Gerry) Guziak; Donna McKibbin; a brother-in-law, Newbern "Al" Allen of Camden, TN; two step-children, Sandy (Joseph) Kimsel-Warda of Birch Run; Gregg (Kari) Kimsel of Bellaire and their families. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by four brothers, James, Robert, Norman and Patrick Guziak; a sister, Betty Allen; a step-daughter, Debbie Wheeler. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019, at St. John Lutheran Church, 2290 Pretzer Rd. Hemlock. Rev. Phil Bigelow will officiate with burial in St. John Cemetery. Friends may visit with family at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-5:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday and then at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral service.
