S. Robert “Bob” Storey
July 28, 1936- August 31, 2020

Beloved husband and father passed away at Covenant Hospital on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the age of 84. Bob was born on July 28, 1936 to the late James and Elsie (Barck) Storey in Marysville, Michigan. He was a graduate of Marysville High School. He married Betty Bubel on April 9, 1955 in Port Huron, Michigan. The couple recently celebrated their 65th anniversary. Bob later served our country in the United States Army.

Bob was not only a member of Calvary Community Church but was a founding member of the church in 1971. He worked at Carter’s Lumber for a number of years before retiring. Bob enjoyed fishing, especially in Marysville on the St. Clair River. He also loved woodworking, vintage cars and singing.

He is survived by his wife Betty and their children Cathy (John) Groeneveld, Bryan Storey, and David (Cynthia) Storey; grandchildren Elleda (Paul) Linsmeyer, Adria (Kory) Brietzke, Alexandra Storey and his great grandchildren Aiden Linsmeyer and Gabriella Brietzke. Bob is also survived by his sister Dona (Jack) VanEvery and his sisters in law RuthAnn Storey, Wanda Conklin and Connie Jager.

Bob was predeceased by his son Dale Storey and his brother Jerry Storey.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Calvary Community Church (2895 E. Moore Road, Saginaw). Pastor Ted Doolittle will officiate. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until the time of service at church on Friday.
