Sallie Enszer, age 80, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on November 28, 2023, at Traditions of Saginaw. Sallie was born in Saginaw on July 5, 1943, to the late Rudolph W. Hak and Amelia J. Berkobien Hak.
She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir for over seventy years. She was active in the church, serving on various church and school boards. Family was her life. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved nature, animals, theater and dance performances, and attending concerts at the Saginaw Symphony.
Sallie is survived by her loving husband, Gerald Enszer. She and Gerald were united in marriage on May 21, 1966. She is also survived by their children, Gregory Allan (Julie) Enszer, Heidi Lynn (Dale) Workman, and Steven “Tim” (Erica) Enszer; seven grandchildren, Brendan Enszer, Cameron Enszer, Dylan Enszer, Owen Enszer, Gabriel Workman, Devon Enszer, and Anthony Enszer; one sister and one brother, Sandra Webber, and Larry (Barbara) Hak; one brother-in-law, Robert Enszer; and eleven nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Amelia Hak; one brother, Richard Hak; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Thomas Webber, Thomas Enszer, Leona Hak, and Ruth Enszer.
Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, December 4, 2023, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 808 Weiss St, Saginaw, MI 48602, where friends may visit with the family from 10:30 a.m. until time of the service. Rev. Michael Korte will officiate the service with entombment to follow in the Oakwood Mausoleum. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Saginaw Valley Rail Trail.
