Beloved husband and father passed away on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at the age of 65 years.
Born to the late Melvin and Mary (Viola) Reif on December 9, 1955 in Saginaw. He married Joanne Thomas on July 16, 2014; she survives him. He retired from St. Mary’s of Michigan after 35 years of service. He was a member of American Legion Post #22 and rode with the Legion Riders. Samuel enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle, traveling and could play several musical instruments. He especially enjoyed time spent with family and friends, including his cat, Misty and faithful dogs, Tee and Thea.
Surviving beside his partner of 27 years, Jo, are his children: Samuel Ray (Rocquell Earl) Reif Jr., Dominic (Lisa Castaneda) Reif, Amy Reif, Melanie Reif, Mitchell (Samantha) Reif 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, his brother Fred Reif, sister Helen (Ed) Roth, and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Samuel was predeceased by a grandson Adam.
A celebration of life for Samuel will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 10, 2021 at the W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service.
