Sandra "Sandy" Jean Wilson of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, aunt passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Ascension - St. Mary's Hospital. She was 74 years old. Sandra Jean Campbell was born on November 22, 1947, in Bay City, Michigan, to the late Michael and Jean (Kerr) Campbell. She was a proud graduate of T.L. Handy High School in Bay City. Following graduation, Sandy began working as a real estate secretary. She loved shopping and eventually became the owner and operator of her own clothing retail company, Body Language. The role of her lifetime was to be a wonderful stay-at-home mother raising her children. Her happiest moments in life were living and spending time at her home on Lake Ogemaw with the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Wilson. Sandy found peace and tranquility in nature and enjoyed tending to her flowers and gardening. She was a fabulous cook, always using her secret ingredient "love" to create many amazing foods and dishes. Sandy also enjoyed traveling, especially to places near lakes and oceans. Sandy loved family gatherings, celebrating Christmas, and taking little trips to Frankenmuth.
Surviving are a daughter, Tammie (Matt) Castanon of Saginaw Township; three stepchildren: Jeff (Sandy) Wilson of Bay City; Vickie (Roger) Nagy of Linwood; Mike (Lisa) Wilson of Bay City; three grandchildren: Hope Castanon of Saginaw Township; Molly Castanon of Saginaw Township; Ethan Wilson of Essexville; as well as step-grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Anne Sursley of Bay City. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a son, Robert M. Wilson; husband, Robert R. Wilson; parents, Michael and Jean Campbell; two brothers, Tom and Bud Campbell; sister-in-law, Pat Baranek.
A funeral service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Pastoral Minister Amy Roe will officiate. Honoring Sandy's wishes cremation will follow the service.
