Sandra "Sandy" Sweitzer of Saginaw Township, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the Colonnades Assisted Living in Bay City, following a lengthy illness. She was 76 years old. Sandra Bryan was born on January 12, 1947, in Canton, Ohio, to the late Max Lincoln and Velma Grace (Mohn) Bryan. She was a proud graduate of Louisville High School in Louisville, Ohio. She met the love of her life and soulmate, Thomas Daniel Sweitzer, while attending church. They dated, fell in love, and were united in marriage on July 8, 1965; he preceded her in death on October 10, 2000. Sandy was employed as a cashier with Meijer in Saginaw for over 15 years. The role of her lifetime, and one she loved above all others, was to be the most loving and dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother she could possibly be. Her little piece of heaven was spending time with her treasured and cherished grandchildren. Though she could be quite introspective, she will forever be remembered for her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor, for her kind, loving, and giving heart, and for truly living an amazing life filled with laughter and wonderful memories.
Surviving are two daughters: Kimberly (Mark) Walker; Beth (Phil) Kuch; three grandchildren: Taylor Seipke and her fiancé, Beau Serra, Nick Walker, Zachary Seipke; two step-grandchildren: Madison and Brendon Kuch; sister, Marsha Neff; brother, Tom Bryan.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Tom Sweitzer; daughter, Tina Hy; and parents: Max and Velma Bryan.
Honoring Sandy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service will take place at a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Arthritis Foundation. Please share your thoughts and memories with the family through www.casefuneralhome.com.
