Sarah Rodriguez

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was called home to be with the Lord on June 27, 2021. Age 90 years.

She was born on September 5, 1930, to the late Emilio and Augustina (Munoz) Luna in Brownsville, Texas. Sarah married Guadalupe Rodriguez on November 25, 1950; he predeceased her on May 18, 1991. She worked for several years in health care and most recently worked in the grandparents program for Saginaw Public Schools. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, volunteering at church and liked to travel. She also loved to cook for her family.

Surviving are two children; Robert R. (Beverly) Rodriguez and Mark Jimenez, two grandchildren; Daniel V. Rodriguez and Nina M. Kane, two great-grandchildren; Eva M. Rodriguez and Josephine I. Rodriguez.

Along with her husband, Guadalupe, and her parents she is predeceased by two children; Diana L. McGee and Sandra Gonzalez, and her brothers and sisters; John Luna, Marcelino Luna, Manuel Luna, Vicenta Ramirez, and Monica Torres.

Funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, July 2, 2021, at St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Anthony of Padua Church, 3680 South Washington Road, Saginaw. Burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway, Saginaw, as well as at the church Friday from 10:00 am until the time of mass.
