Shannon Nichole Gdowski of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Ascension St. Mary's Hospital. She was 47 years old. Shannon Nichole Gdowski was born on April 22, 1975, in Brownstown, Michigan, to Donald Gdowski and the late Darlene (Nabozny) Gdowski. The role of her lifetime was being a full-time mother raising her beloved daughters. Born on Earth Day, Shannon embodied the essence of being at one with nature. Whether it was planting tulips and other flowers, running, sitting outdoors, or taking trips to the Colorado mountains, these were her little pieces of heaven. Shannon was the light at any gathering and had an innate ability to communicate with all people, regardless of their station or situation in life. A free spirit at heart, she found happiness in listening to music and dancing. Above all, Shannon treasured and cherished her daughters and her grandchildren. She left her indelible mark in this world through her kindness to anyone in need, her selfless acts of love, and for living a remarkable life with her children filled with memories and laughter.

Surviving are five daughters: Venessa (Padre) Ruiz of Arvada, CO; Alexandria (Erik) Bentz of Allen Park; the triplets: Julia, Emma, and Gracie Cieszlak of Saginaw; three grandchildren: Reya, Emerson, and Jaxson; father, Donald (Petra) Gdowski of NC; two sisters: Allison Davis of Taylor; Kelly (Steve) Lach of Oxford; best friends, Barb Alent of Melvindale; Leo Leroy of Saginaw; friend, Steve Hutchison of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Darlene Gdowski; sister, Kimmy Gdowski.
