Shari Lee Wunderle
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister went home to the Lord on Friday, March 13, 2020 at Toni & Trish House with her family at her side; at the age of 75 years. The daughter of the late Reinhold and Agnes (Hellebuyck) Weisheim was born on January 23, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School and continued her education at Delta College. Shari married Richard Wunderle on May 8, 1992 in Las Vegas, Nevada; he preceded her in death on April 10, 2016. She retired after many years of services as a medical secretary with St. Mary’s Hospital. Shari was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and the Lion’s Club in St. Charles and Shields. She enjoyed reading, cooking, camping, hunting, playing cards at Swanhaven, canning, making cards and crafts. Shari also loved hummingbirds. Above all, Shari cherished the time spent with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, two sons and their spouses: Deborah (Lagalo) and Glenn Smale, David Lagalo, John and Holly Wunderle, Mary and Monte Wunderle-McIntosh, Richelle and Brad Erlenbeck; eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; a brother: Donald Weisheim. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family. Shari was preceded in death by her husband from her first marriage: Gary C. Lagalo; two sons: Anthony Lagalo, Gary Lagalo; a grand-daughter: April Pine.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, staff and volunteers of Heartland Hospice and Toni & Trish House for their support and compassionate care of Shari.
Friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw. Funeral service will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral chapel. Rev. Fr. Pete Gaspeny will officiate with cremation to follow. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Toni & Trish House or the wishes of the family.
