Sharon L. Gerard

Gerard, Sharon L. Midland, Michigan While surrounded by her family, Sharon passed away peacefully at her home, Sunday, February 24, 2013, age 64 years. Sharon was born in Saginaw, Michigan May 14, 1948 the daughter of Viola Rose (Wenzel) and the late George Wesley Anderson. She married Alvin Gerard, Jr. June 11, 1966 and he survives her. Sharon attended Faith Wesleyan Church, Midland; was a Life Member and Past Post President of VFW Post No. 3651, Auxiliary. She enjoyed craft projects, collecting angels and growing her favorite flower, the rose. In addition to her husband, Alvin and mother, Viola, Sharon is survived by three children, Mark Gerard, Dawn Gerard (Dan) and Stacy (Ralph) Stockwell; two grandchildren, Ryan Gerard and Paige Stockwell; four siblings, Harold (Sheila) Anderson, Mike (Alice) Anderson, Kenneth Anderson and Dorothy (Ed) Zieroff; a sister-in-law, Shirley Anderson; many nieces and nephews and a special friend, Jenny Ritter. In addition to her father, Sharon was predeceased by a brother, Wesley Anderson and her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Inez and Alvin Gerard, Sr. The funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 1, 2013 at W. L. Case & Company, 201 N. Miller Rd. Rev. Dennis Curell will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the chapel Thursday from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 pm. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
