Sheila "She" "She-She" Marie David of Burt, Michigan

Beloved mother, "mammy", sister, aunt, niece, and friend passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Saturday, September 9, 2023. She was 54 years old. Sheila Marie David was born on September 7, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Dennis Dean and Sharon Ruth (Smith) David. She was a 1988 graduate of Bridgeport High School. Following graduation, Sheila attended Delta College where she received Associate's Degree in Social Work. Friendly, outgoing, and an excellent communicator, she used her natural ability to connect with people at work as a waitress at Zehnder's of Frankenmuth. Sheila later began working for the family business, "The Little Store", in Bridgeport, Michigan, where she served the community in various capacities. The role of her lifetime, and one she treasured and cherished above all others, was to be a loving and devoted mother and "mammy". An earthy soul, she enjoyed being at one with nature and the universe - usually barefoot, gardening, and tending to her garden, especially her favorite flowers, red poppies. Her little piece of heaven was collecting and painting rocks. Anyone that knew Sheila, knew family and togetherness was at the essence of her entire being. Whether it was playing with her grandchildren, nieces, or nephews, all children adored her company because she was a kid at heart. Sheila also loved listening to Ozzy Osbourne and will forever be grateful attending one of his concerts with her sisters. She will forever be remembered for her love of pigs, her wonderful sense of humor and knack for joking around with friends and family, and for truly living an amazing life filled with many beautiful memories and stories.

Surviving are a son and two daughters: Brian (Maricella) Eckart of TX; Savannah Eckart of Saginaw; Shaina (Steven) Yuker of Saginaw; six grandchildren: Aaliyah, Anthony, Payton, Antonio, Steven III., and Rowan; three sisters: Mary David of Saginaw; Melissa (Brian) Turpin of Dexter; Kaitlyn (Ly'Quorion Wilson) David of Saginaw; and a special friend, Lou Lara of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dennis David and Sharon Smith; special friend, Andy Laske; grandparents: Ellery "Curly" David, Joyce Lerche; Alton and Mary Smith.

A Sharing of Memories will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 18, 2023, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. John Roby will lead the service. Honoring Sheila's wishes, cremation will follow.
