Shirley A. Koch

Shirley Ann Koch Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2017, age 87 years. She was born on April 7, 1930, daughter of the late Leonard and Julia (Riley) Schneider, in Saginaw. Shirley married Herbert Koch on February 18, 1950, he predeceased her on May 14, 2017. She retired from Michigan National Bank after many years of service. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was a member of the choir, served as past president of the Women of the Church, organizing the Bazaar and fashion shows. She enjoyed traveling, watching Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy, and The Price Is Right. Shirley loved spending time with her family and baking her delicious Christmas cookies for their holiday gatherings. She is survived by her children, Sandra (Lewis) Sandel, John (Lori) Koch and Eric Koch; her grandchildren, Leigh Erica Behring, Brittany Koch and Hunter Koch; one great grandson, William Behring; one brother, Robert Schneider; two sisters, Loretta Brown and Donna McCargar. She was predeceased by her siblings, Leonard Schneider, Jr, David Schneider, Phyllis Steinke, Marlene Hester and Caroline Cooke. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1209 Hancock. Rev. Sue Hand will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at W. L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road and at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
